Previously, he was President and CEO of Adtec, Inc., a detention hardware company ranked as the ninth fastest growing public company in America in 1989. He also held a 10-year tenure at Southern Steel, most recently as President and was instrumental in turning around the company through introduction of new detention hardware product. Youngblood received his BBA in Accounting with a Minor in Finance from Baylor University. Mark McDonald – President
Mark McDonald's background consists of working as a Service Manager where he received the company's highest sales award for four years in a row. He has also operated as a General Manager responsible for Design, Development and Sales of control systems which he also engineered. McDonald has served as President of Metroplex Control Systems (MCS) where he was responsible for the Detention Division's sales. Through this role, he has developed relationships with Private Operators and General Contractors among others. McDonald has also served as Account Manager for GEO group where he has been an integral participant in the designing and supplying of security equipment to over 20 GEO facilities. Working with Engineers, he has provided numerous clients with design/development projects. Through his expertise in the industry, he has increased sales growth from $800,000 to five million. His experience and technological background is essential to the growth of the detention industry. McDonald received his Associate of Arts degree in electronics from Chabot College, Hayward, California. Rich Schamberger – General Manager
Schamberger has worked as an administrator and troubleshooter for a wide variety of security electronic equipment systems companies. He is skilled in all aspects of electronics and has worked closely with various types of subcontractors dealing from negotiation of their contracts, to supervision. He has also administered and supervised personnel on the jobsites. His communication skills and ability to follow through to the completion of jobs make Schamberger invaluable to every project he manages. Previous to MCS Detention, he has been with companies such as Maris Equipment Company, Inc., Southwestern Communications, Inc., and Shorrock Electronic Systems. Jeff Ward – Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Previously he has served in companies such as Flextronics, International as Business Systems Visionary, Quintex Plastics as Production Manager, and Tri-Tec Plastics as Production Manager among others. He comes with extensive technical expertise in both software and hardware. He is a Green Belt Six Sigma. Mike Delaplane – Director of Engineering
Previously Delaplane was with companies such as Southern Steel Company, Black Creek Integrated Systems, Clow-Rodgers, Inc. in a variety of senior level engineering roles. Darwin Katan – Tech Service Manager
Previously Katan was Project Manager/Engineer with Southern Steel's Security Electronics Division. Before that he was with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Manager I for security electronics. Katan also earned the Journeyman License (Communications Electrician) and Certificates for Network Administration and Business Administration and Management. Katan secured an Associate Degree in Telecommunications from N.A.I.T. in Edmonton AB, Canada. |

Mark McDonald is President of Metroplex Control Systems, McDonald has more than 28 years of industry experience responsible for an array of different services ranging from Sales to troubleshooting as a Service Technician.
Rich Schamberger is currently MCS Detention's General Manager. Rich Schamberger brings more than 24 years of experience serving multiple management roles which include engineering, operations, sales and marketing, and the management of integrated system installation for multiple projects.
Jeff Ward is MCS Detention's Chief Technology Officer. He brings years of technology expertise to his role at MCS Detention working closely with the Programming Department Team.
Mike Delaplane is Director of Engineering at MCS
Detention. An expert in the area, his responsibilities include managing the
department as well as providing support and leadership in the design of
projects and certification of products.
Darwin Katan is MCS Detention's Tech Service Manager. At this role, he is responsible for the planning/coordination/design/scheduling and implementation of the security equipment to be installed in prisons, jails, court houses and juvenile centers. He also oversees the management of the Production Department consisting of technicians, installers and designers who are responsible for the fabrication of the equipment to be installed at each customer location. He also plays a key role in direct customer support and coordination with the owners to ensure that requests and changes are handled in a timely manner as well as ensure troubleshooting and system support are maintained throughout the installation and warranty time frame.
